2008년 대한민국 서울에 JOONGHO CHOI STUDIO를 설립해 전자제품을 비롯하여 가구와 조명 등 리빙디자인 분야에서 활동하고 있다. 아메리칸 스탠다드, 자브라, 3M, 삼성 등 세계적인 기업과의 프로젝트를 진행하고 있으며 국제공모전 수상과 국내외 매체에 많은 소개로 그의 가치를 입증하고 있다. 또한 한국의 젊고 도전적인 기업과 다양한 분야의 전문가들과 함께 협업하여 다양한 프로젝트를 선보이고 있다.

Joongho Choi Studio was founded at Seoul, Korea in 2008 and has been working on numbers of design projects in vast ranges from furniture to electronics. Among those, projects with world widely known companies, such as American Standard, Jabra, 3M and Samsung, were completed successfully or are either on-going. The works that the studio has done have been introduced to international media and awarded from influential competitions as well. Currently, Joongho Choi Studio is working on several projects with young and challenging companies and professionals from many different industries to extend Studio’s design identities and experiences. The Studio is always trying to see improvements in design and aesthetic perspectives to maintain identities of the objects.

공간 콘셉트

로맨틱한 휴일
ROMANTIC HOLIDAY
경쾌한 컬러와 패셔너블한 요소들의 배치를 통해서 진취적이고 개성 있는 현대 남성들의 감각을 욕실이라는 공간 안에 로맨틱하게 재해석하였다. 1929년, 전통적이고 일률적이었던 욕실의 틀을 깨고 과감한 컬러의 도기를 통해서 욕실문화의 스펙트럼을 확장시켰던 아메리칸 스탠다드의 빈티지 욕실에서 영감을 얻어 기존의 욕실에서 찾아보기 힘들었던 컬러와 소재, 그리고 욕실 바깥 공간의 여러 요소들을 욕실 안쪽 공간으로 녹여냄으로써 특색 있는 라이프스타일을 반영시켰다. 테이블, 라운지체어, 데이베드 등 리빙 공간의 요소들은 기존 욕실 공간의 요소들과 자연스럽게 뒤섞여 로맨틱한 분위기를 연출하며 비데, 샤워부스를 가리고 있는 유리벽은 욕실 공간의 프라이빗함을 지켜줌과 동시에 리빙 공간과의 자연스러운 연결도 만들어준다.

The enterprising and unique modern men's senses have been re-interpreted romantically through light colors and fashionable aspects in bathroom spaces. In 1929, American Standard broke the uniformed frame of classic bathrooms and expanded the spectrum of those by applying colorized ceramic wares. Inspired by this vintage American Standard bathroom, this project aimed to bring colors, materials and aspects that cannot be found in existing bathrooms. The spontaneous mixture of existing and newly applied aspects from tables, lounge chairs and daybedscreates romantic atmosphere. The glass wall provides privacy in toilet and shower booth areas and it also creates the connection to the living room.
