건축, 공간 설계사무소 WGNB의 공동대표로, 2004년 월가어소시에이트에서 근무하다 2015년 건축가 박성칠과 WGNB를 설립하였다. 주거, 의료, 상업 공간부터 전시 공간까지 아우르며 늘 다양한 시도를 선보이고 있으며, 기업들과의 다양한 프로젝트뿐만 아니라 드라마 <시크릿 가든>의 현빈집을 비롯하여 압구정 파피루스, 카카오프렌즈 강남역 플래그십스토어, 전국의 교보문고를 새로운 모습으로 탈바꿈시키고 있다.


Jonghwan, Baek is a co-president of WGNB which is a construction and space design office. He worked as associate at Wall Street and established WGNB with an architect, Seongchil, Park. They have introduced diverse places from housing, medical, commercial spaces to exhibit spaces. And they are known for Hyeon Bin’s house from a famous drama ‘Secret Garden’ and projects with several companies. They were in charge of Papyrus of Apgujeong and Kakao Friends flagship store of Gangnam station. For the last 2 years, they have been working with the new looks of Kyobo Book Centre on a national scale, started from Seomyeon branch in Busan.

공간 콘셉트

오픈 하우스(6X6)

하루가 끝날 무렵 무자녀 부부나 동거인에게는 최소한의 프라이버시를 지키면서 함께 즐기고 쉬는 시간을 공유할 수 있는 공간이 필요하다. 이를 적극적으로 해결하기 위해 벽을 없앤 오픈 플랜을 제안한다. OPEN HOUSE는 집이라는 공간이 가지는 최소한의 기능인 주방, 다이닝, 화장실, 거실 겸 침실을 하나의 육면체 아일랜드 안에 담고, 그 외에 필요한 수납공간들은 사이드 벽면으로 해결하였다. 아일랜드에서 가장 크게 위치한 큰 원 속의 공간은 침실과 거실의 기능을 함께하며 어떠한 파티도 가능하게 하는 매력적인 공간이 된다. 이곳에 반려동물 친구가 있으면 더 좋을 것 같다.

OPEN HO USE (6X6)

At the end of the day, a couple with no child or house mates need a space where they can spend some time together guarding minimum privacy, but sharing their spare time. To solve this problem, I suggest a wallless open plan. OPEN HOUSE put all the minimum functions of space on house such as a kitchen, dining, toilet, living room and bedroom into a single hexahedral Ireland and uses spaces near the wall for other necessary storage spaces. The biggest space into a big circular shape of Ireland works as a living room and bedroom. And it is a charming place available for any kinds of party. If you have an animal companion, it would be much better.
